AeroMet has one of the largest hydraulic shop presses in the Mid-Missouri area. The press has a capacity of 120 ton, with an opening of 54 inches wide. It is often used to remove or replace bearings and other press fit parts, as well as to straighten shafts, form bends, and perform the final step in assembling components.
Press work is useful for a variety of tasks and projects. It has been used to form aluminum components for aircraft structures, and also to replace the rubber on forklift wheels.
